Elma, a mobile commerce platform by Craft Silicon has been recognised as a top innovation in the Citi Mobile Challenge in Europe, Middle East and Africa region 2015. Elma emerged as the best social commerce solution for its Elma-mobile commerce payment platform.
Craft Silicon Chief Executive Kamal Budhabhatti and Product Lead of Elma team said the solution provides personalised products and services that transform how people think about banking, adding that the award is an honour for the application.
The competition launched in February invited technology developers to build solutions based on digital banking and submit concepts that fuel innovation in the financial industry. "Our goal in innovating Elma is to revolutionise the mobile banking experience and this event was the perfect platform," said Budhabhatti.
Digital and Marketing Officer for Global Consumer Banking at Citi Heather Cox said they received more than 740 applications across 101 countries for this competition.
"As banks continue to redefine themselves, they must work with the broader financial technology community to discover fresh ideas that help create the client experience of tomorrow," said the chief executive of Citi for Europe, Middle East and Africa," said Jim Cowles.
